Maria Carolina was born March 1, 1860 and baptized Sept 16, 1860. She was the daughter of Friedrich Ecker who is not described as a goldsmith and Barbara (Bohnenberger). Godparents are Maria Rothfuss and others who I cannot yet make out. The minister for most of these records so far was Friedrich A Lehlbach, a prominent German refugee at that time. Fredrich's occupation appears to be schleifer, or grinder. Maria Carolina survives and marries John Burgner. She is still living in 1898 and is called Caroline or Carrie. |
