Comments:
• I placed a question mark where I was unsure of the German spelling or meaning.
• A woman's family name may have the letters 'in' added at the end for grammatical reasons.
• The Böhler Thale in modern german must indicate the Böhler Tal, or valley beneath the village of Böhlen. There were several mills located there. I need to sort our the names of these mills because they help identify the various Römhild clans.
• The family relationships described for the godparents will also be helpful for sorting out the numerous Römhild families in Grossbreitenbach in the 1800s. For example from godparent #2 is appears that father Johann Heinrich had a brother Johann Nicol and that their father was a miller in the Stolz*** mill in the Böhler Thale.
• The women who are godparents (#s 3 & 4) are identified primarily by the names of their fathers. It was a man's world!
